Bishop Daniel K. Johnson a son of the late King Johnson and Lillie Dukes Johnson was born November 24, 1934 in Williamsburg County, Andrews, South Carolina. He departed this life on Thursday morning September 19, 2013 at the home of his nephew in Loris, South Carolina.

Bishop Daniel K. Johnson was educated in the public school system of Williamsburg County. In his early years he was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. There he remained until he moved to Baltimore, MD. He was the founder and pastor of the House of Prayer # 1 of Good Samaritan.

He worked for many years as a contractor.

Those that remain to cherish his memory; one daughter Sharon Johnson; four brothers; Mr. and Mrs. Egusta Johnson of Las Vegas, Neveada, Elder Kelly Johnson of Baltimore, MD, Deacon Kelton Johnson of Bronx, NY and Mr. Naman Bennett of Andrews, SC; one sister-in-law and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
