Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Lee Cooper, the daughter of the late Samuel Miller and the late Clara Bell Collins Woods, was born on September 16, 1962 in Greeleyville, SC. She is also the stepdaughter of the late Sam Robert Woods. On Saturday, September 12, 2015, she entered into eternal rest at her home. While asleep, God saw fit to call his child home. Carrie received her education at C.E. Murray High School. She worked at The Learning Tree, a child development center in Charleston, SC, where she received an Outstanding Service Award. Carrie was a skilled homemaker at the time of her passing. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church. On August 29, 1981, Carrie was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Lee Earl Cooper. They were blessed with 3 beautiful daughters. Carrie was a sweet kindhearted person. She had a smile that would light up a room. She had such a caring nature and was loved by everyone. She was a praying woman and had a close relationship with God. Three siblings preceded her in death: Mr. Arnold Lee Woods, Mr. Robert Collins, and Mrs. Dorothy China. Mrs. Carrie Lee Cooper leaves to cherish with loving and fond memories her husband: Mr. Lee Earl Cooper of the home, three daughters, Ms. Katrina D. Cooper RN, BSN of Columbia, SC, Ms. Melody Q. Cooper of Brooklyn, NY, and Ms. Daysha R. Cooper of Aiken, SC two beautiful grandchildren, Master Jeremiah Elcock of Brooklyn, NY and Little Miss Londin Grace Anderson of Columbia, SC five devoted brothers, Mr. Bobby Woods of Oakland, CA, Mr. Samuel Miller, Jr. of Georgetown, SC, LTC Lawrence Miller of Elgin, SC, Mr. Eric Woods of Goose Creek, SC, Mr. Jerry Woods (Angela) of Salters, SC two loving aunts, Ms. Easter O. Chatman of Greeleyville, SC and Ms. Carrie Bell Miller of Kingstree, SC two sisters in-law, Mrs. Janie Mae Woods and Mrs. Annie Dell Collins; four additional loving sisters inlaw, one brother inlaw a host of other loving relatives and friends.
