Dashon Lamain
Hannah
June 8, 1976 – January 21, 2024
"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which
die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their
labours; and their works do follow them"
– Revelation 14:13
Dashon Lamaine Hannah, born on June 8, 1976, in Kingstree, SC, to Billy Hannah and Betty McFadden, peacefully departed his earthly life on January 21, 2024. Dashon, affectionately known as Shon, was preceded in death by his brother, William Hannah.
Shon educational high school journey began at Kingstree Senior High, and he proudly completed his high school diploma at Philadelphia Community College in Philadelphia, PA. Shon loved his family. He shared a very special bond with his brothers Marlowe and his
brother William (deceased). He adored and doted over his only child, Alexus Dorsey.
A person of remarkable kindness and resilience, Shon faced health challenges with unwavering faith and a profound belief in God. His brother, Marlowe, fondly recalls Shon unwavering commitment to his faith and the day that he openly confessed his Salvation to him and other family members. As a source of comfort to family and friends, it is a profound solace to know that Shon had dedicated his life to Christ, and now the blessed presence of God is with him for eternity, as written in Revelation 21:3," And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
Shon leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy: his precious daughter, Alexus Dorsey, of Philadelphia, PA, his mother, Betty McFadden of Fayetteville, NC, and his father, Billy Hannah (Janet) of San Antonio, Texas, one brother, Marlowe J. Hanna
(Tenee) of Fuquay Varina, NC, and four sisters: Tabatha (Christopher) Pryor, Samatha (Josh) Hannah, and Jessica Hannah, all of San Antonio, Texas, and Jennifer (Darian) Dixon of Houston, Texas.
In addition to his immediate family, Shon is remembered by fifteen nieces and nephews: Jaydon, Melody, Sarai, Justice, Elijah, and Faith of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; Nadya, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Nehemiah, Samuel, Azariah, and Roxxy of San Antonio, Texas; and Jewel and Drayson of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by one maternal aunt, Claudia Barnes, seven fraternal aunts, and four fraternal uncles, along with a host of extended family and friends who loved and will miss him dearly.
