Deacon Nathaniel Pressley, age 64, passed from mortal to immortality on Monday, February 2,2015 after a brief illness God saw fit and told his child; 'Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant'. He was born December 25, 1950 to the late Reverend Thomas Pressley and Mrs. Lillie Bell Boyd Pressley. He was loved and known by family and friends as: 'Budda' & 'Christmas'. Deacon Pressley was reared at an early age in Mt. Zion Apostolic Faith Holiness Church, Kingstree, South Carolina in the Holy Woods Community. He was educated in the Williamsburg County School System. He entered into Holy Matrimony to the former Julia Mae Parson.This union was blessed with three children. After receiving Christ in his life as his personal Savior. Deacon Pressley became a hard working servant for God. He was on numerous committees; Deacon Board (Head Deacon), Choir Member, Usher Board, Kitchen Staff, and also assisted with the Sunday School Department. He know was known in church for singing: 'I've Gone the Last Mile of the Way' and 'There's a God a Somewhere' many other songs. For forty plus years he dedicated his time working with his brother (Isaac). He was a dedicated worker for the Gas Station, East Main Motors/Towing Services, Sherall's Mobile Home Park and Also Pressley's Funeral Home. Deacon Pressley smile and knowing laughter will be missed but his memories will live on through his loving and devoted wife Julia Mae Pressley, his children; Nathaniel Pressley (Michelle), Jacqueline Wilson(Thomas), LaCole Raysor (Michael), Richard Battle (Judy), and Angela Battle and 13 grandchildren; His loving brothers and sisters: Mr. Isaac (Elnora) Pressley of Kingstree, Mr. Stephenson Pressley of Columbia, SC, Mr. Lynn Pressley, Newark, Ohio, Mr. Seth (Janie) Pressley, Lake City, SC, Mr. Stanley (Deliso) Pressley, Birmingham, AL and Mr. Keith Pressley, Allendale, SC; Mrs. Lille Segres, Mrs. Rachel Cooper, Mrs. Hattie (George) McKnight, and Mrs. Cecelia (Leroy) Epps all of Kingstree, SC; sister in-laws: Mrs. Hattie Pressley and Mrs. Maxine Bradley both of Kingstree, SC, Mrs. Virginia Pressley and Mrs. Gail Pressley Both of Columbia, SC, Mrs. Gena Pressley, Newark, Ohio, Mrs. Juanita Pressley of Florida; Two uncles; Rev. Nehemiah (Jessie) Boyd and Mr. James Boyd both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four aunts, Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd of Bayside, NY, Rev. Elizabeth (Noel) Spooner and Mrs. Ruthie Mae (Wilbur) Ferrell both of Charlotte, NC and Mrs. Della Langley of Philadelphia, PA.; three step uncles; Mr. Hasco (Leona) McAlister, Rev. Leroy (Rose) McAlister both of Kingstree, SC, and Mr. Curtis McAlister of Columbia, SC.; two step aunts; Mrs. Carolyn (Eli) Segres of Aiken, SC and Mrs. Deloris Wratee of Agusta, GA; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
