Mrs. Edna Olivia Moore
was the youngest of nine children born to the late Mary Lucille Nesmith and Dudley Nesmith on February 2, 1960 in Hemingway, South Carolina. Edna left earth to return to her eternal resting place on Saturday, August 27, 2016.
Edna
was educated in the school system of New York. She did her high school years at Morris High and graduated from Central Park East High School, New York in 1977. Her professional skills were utilized at Herzfeld & Rubin PC, Wall Street, New York (Accounting Department 1988-1997). She later became an educator in the public school system of New York.
Edna was united in holy matrimony on July 9, 1987 to Jacob Moore. She also professed Christ as her personal Savior, until he whispered "Your Work is Completed". Shewas a devoted member of St. Peter Way of the Cross Church where she served in several capacities: Usher/Group Captain, Missionary, Pastor's Aide Committee, Sunday School Secretary, Hospitality Committee,andthe RecordingChurch Secretary. Edna worked in the church fellowship hall in various capacities. Edna believed in order and being an on time person. She will always be known for her honesty and the smile that she wore on her face.
She had three brothers who proceeded her in death: Dudley Nesmith, Jr., Eugene Nesmith, Charles E. Nesmith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: One loving and devoted daughter devoted daughter Ashley Moore, Two Grandsons: Alex Randolph, III and Braylon Randoplh,. Five sisters: Marquirea (James) Williams of Hemingway, SC, Verline (Willis) Nesmith, Rhoda (James) McCray, Dorothy Nesmith (Frank) all of Bronx, NY, and Bernice McGee, Andrews, SC, one adopted sister: Valene Green White of Queens, NY. Two sisters inlaw: Mildred Nesmith and Rose Barr Nesmith both Bronx, N. Y. Three aunts: Edna Jones and Joan Johnson both of Philadelphia, PA and Effie Brown of Florida. One uncle: James E. Taylor of North Carolina. A special family friend: Alex Randolph, Four very dear and special friends: Hazel Cuttino, Earline Price, Violet Peay, and Crystal Rutledge along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends.
