Life Reflection

Mrs. Heuie Harriette Cooper Brown was born to the parentage of former South Carolinians Dr. William B.D. Cooper, Sr., and Cecelia Remelle Taylor Cooper on December 25, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Harriette grew up in Midland, Texas, where she accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of Hollowell United Methodist Church. She attended Booker T. Washington Elementary and Carver High School(s) in Midland, Texas and graduated from Allen High School in Asheville, North Carolina.  She received a degree in Business and Office Management from Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California.

Harriette relocated to Midland for several years until she joined her dear Daddy in Florence, South Carolina. She met and  married her devoted late husband Ulysses Carl Brown.  The loving couple established, owned and operated Carl's Classic Cleaners in Kingstree, South Carolina.

Our sister, Harriette, was a kind and beautiful woman with a sweet personality.  She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, bingo, reading, socializing with family and friends, and watching TV, especially Ameri c a's favorite football team-the Dallas Cowboys.  She had a special affection for her nephew Ch é , and niece Ceil, and their kids of whom she was very proud. God granted Harriette her heavenly wings on April 18, 2023, to join her husband, parents, and youngest brother Robert Dawson Cooper.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  Brother-William "Skipper" Cooper,Jr.(Myra); Sister-Helen Hicks (Raymond); Nephew-Ch é Hicks (Nasha); Niece-Cecelia Keys (Korey); grand nieces & nephews-Jasmine, Ch é Jr. "CJ" & Chaz Hicks; Kamani & Kori "KoKo" Keys; Step Grand children-Isaiah "I.Q." Brown & Raven Brown.  Step-mother & Step-aunt Alta Ruth Medlock & Lola Striggles; special loving and loyal friends Haven & Daisy McClam, Phyllis Brown, Jackie Jenkins, & Edna Myers.

Harriette's family also extends gratitude to the staff at Carlyle Senior Care, MUSC Hospital Florence, S.C., and  Regency Hospital for the personal, medical, & professional treatment administered to her, and the many friends who supported care and love to their "Mrs. Heuie".
