On Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, N.J., Mr. J. W. Hamilton peacefully slipped into the arms of Jesus to forever abide in God's love. J.W. was born January 14, 1954 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Andrew and Violet Hamilton. J. W. Better known to his family and friends as "Boisie" received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County and graduated from Kingstree Senior High School in 1972. After graduating from high school he then moved to Newark, New Jersey where he was employed with General Colors and later as a security guard until his health failed. He attended Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church in Newark, NJ. He leaves to cherish his precious memories on son, Dwight Hamilton of Sumter, SC; three loving sisters Gracie (King) Ellison of Hillside, N. J., Ruth (Lawson) George of Kingstree, SC, and Barbara (Molton) Selby of Florence, SC; one brother, James A. Hamilton Jr. who preceded him in death; eight aunts, Marion Owens of Brooklyn, NY, Pansy Gillyard, Vivian and Naomi all of Charleston, SC, Lille Mae Chandler, Virginia Chandler and Etta Chandler all of Kingstree, SC; two uncles Willie Graddick and Gerald Graddick both of Charleston, SC; two best friends, Jacob Dupree of Florida, Detroy Fulmore of New York; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
