Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved James Wendel Fulton, who entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2025, in the comfort of his home; surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

Mr. James Wendel "Windy" Fulton was born on August 05, 1947 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fulton, Sr. and Mrs. Ruth Wall Fulton. Mr. James W. Fulton accepted Christ, as his personal savior at an early age and has been a lifelong member of Elijah United Methodist Church. James was a product of the 1967 graduating class of Tomlinson High School in Kingstree, South Carolina. James, was employed with Baxter Laboratories for over 30 years until he retired. He was also employed with the Williamsburg County School District as a Custodian. Windy was a longtime Farmer and his most rewarding and fulfilling calling was a Master Hunter.

James W Fulton, was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Rebecca S Fulton, on May 16, 1969; their union was blessed with six(6) children. Though he cherished all his children, he now reunites in eternity with one who preceded him in death, Mr. James W. "Junie" Fulton, Jr. ; along with a beloved sister, Mrs. Lilas Peterson and two(2) brothers, Mr. Henry L. Fulton and Mr. George E. Speights, Sr. One significant and special cousin Mrs. Edith James that preceded him in death. James was a cherished member of the community. He was a man of his word and spoke with conviction, earning him the name "IRON-HEAD". Windy's delivery was matchless; he said what he meant and meant what he said! His presence was known on site and his compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those who really knew him.

Windy's life was a testament to hard work, integrity and devotion- to his family, his friends and the values he held dear to his heart.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rebecca S Fulton; their five (5) loving children, three committed daughters, Ms. Antoinette M. Izzard and Mrs. Leonetta (Adrian) Goodwin, of Charlotte, North Carolina and Ms. Telia N. Fulton of Kingstree, South Carolina and two faithful sons, Mr. Arlo S. Fulton, of Columbia, South Carolina and Mr. Bryant O. Fulton of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also survived by two loving siblings, Mr. Harvey (Carol) Fulton, Jr. and Mr Jackie Fulton, both of Kingstree, South Carolina. He leaves a devoted brother-in-law, Reverend Phillip (Patricia)Scott, Sr. and seven (7) sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lula Mae Speights and Mrs. Betty Scott of Kingstree, South Carolina, Mrs. Sue Fulton of Florence, South Carolina, Mrs. Marva Scott, of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Ella Davis of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Hazel Bartlett of Central Islip, New York, Mrs. Mary (Lorenzo) Dicks of Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Martha (Sanders) Griffin of Rochester, New York and Ms. Daisy Murray of Kingstree, South Carolina. His memory will forever be treasured by seventeen (17) Grandchildren, seven (7) Great-Grandchildren, two (2) loving and devoted nephews, Mr. Andre Fulton and Mr. Sylvester Speights and host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Although, our hearts are heavy, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the lives he touched. Daddy, departed from this world, his love, wisdom, and kindness will remain eternal. You are deeply loved, profoundly missed and forever remembered.
