Mr. Jimmy Pendergrass passed into eternal rest on Sunday, August 03, 2020. We, the staff at Pressley's Funeral Home, solicit prayers for his family at this time. "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal."

Mr. Jimmy Pendergrass , affectionately called "Terry", the son of the late Mr. Johnnie Pendergrass and the late Mrs. Emma Bennett Pendergrass was born on January 24, 1953 in Kingstree, SC. Almighty God called him to eternal rest on Sunday, August 02, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.

Jimmy was a member of the first graduating class of Kingstree Senior High School in 1971. After high school, he became a resident of Brooklyn, New York for fifteen years. He was employed by Brooklyn Union Gas Company, Brooklyn, New York for fifteen years. And he was also employed by Milliken Manufacturing Company, Kingstree, SC for fourteen years.

He was kind-hearted and devoted to his family. His friendly and cheerful spirit drew people to him. He enjoyed watching sports.

He was preceded in death by six brothers: Roosevelt (Sonny Boy) Pendergrass, Johnnie Pendergrass, Jr., James (Brother) Pendergrass, Andrews (WC) Pendergrass, Edward (Bobbie) Pendergrass, and William (Bill) Pendergrass.

Those who will cherish his memories forever are: one sister, Viola Davis of Florence, SC; two brothers, Joseph (Martha) Pendergrass of Kingstree, SC and Sanders Pendergrass of Florence, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
