Josephine Cusack Daniels , 83 years old, was born in Florence, South Carolina on July 26, 1940. Her parents are the late Mr. Walter Sherrod and Mrs. Eula Mae Sherrod. Josephine was called to her "eternal home" on Monday, July 22, 2024. She attended the public schools of Florence County graduating from Wilson High School in 1958. In 1959, Josephine married the late James Rogers Cusack. From that union, there were four children , whereas two were preceded in death. Josephine's early years of employment consists of working at Marlowe Factory and Electric Motors. She later became a Medical Surgical Technician at McLeod Regional Medical Center, where she retired after 23 years of dedicated service. Josephine was a lifelong member of St. Peter Holiness Church, she served as a faithful missionary and held many positons in the church which includes the usher board, pulpit aide, choir, kitchen staff, as well as being the Mother of the church. She will truly be missed as the family matriarch, her positive attitude, comedic wit, her compassionate heart and living a Godfearing lifestyle.
In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her two daughters, Lisa Renee Cusack and Mary Lewis, son in law Ulysses Lewis, and a grandson, Cedric L. Cusack.
Josephine leaves to cherish fond memories to her two daughters, Angela Cusack Cain of Florence, SC and Chilton (Michael) Ellis of Florence, SC; two grand-children that she raised as her own, Tara (Matthew) Pressley of Florence, SC and Daja Cusack (Isaiah Smith) of Rockhill, SC; Special God-daughter, Tara (Jarius) Goodman of Rockhill, SC; 10 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren; a special niece, Silvia (Sherman) Augustus of Florence, SC; her beloved extended family, Dr. C. Richard (Sharon) Alexander and sons, Florence, SC; and a host of family and friends.
