On Saturday, March 27, 2021, God summoned Louise V. Scott-Strong to rest from her labor. Louise is the daughter of the late William McCullough and Rosa Scott-McCullough. She was born July 12, 1932 in Kingstree, South Carolina.
Louise was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County. She was employed by Anderson Primary School as a Director for 25 years. Louise grew up in St. Michael United Methodist Church and at an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She later became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served on various boards of the church; the Usher board, kitchen committee, and also on the Missionary and Combined choir. She truly loved her church and all the members of the church.
Louise was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. William James Strong who preceded her in death. This union was blessed with 6 children.
In addition to her husband one brother George Scott preceded her death.
Those who will cherish her memories forever are her loving and devoted children. Daughters Willie Mae Brewington of the home. Ella Strong of Florence, South Carolina; Jacqueline (Sheldon) Tucker of Rochester, New York; and Yolanda Bradley of Kingstree, SC. Her sons Jimmie (Elizabeth) Strong of Kingstree, SC; James (Kim) Strong of Fayetteville, NC; Glenn Strong of Kingstree, SC, Raymond Pressley of Kingstree, SC; and Theotis Pressley of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. And Two daughters that she reared as her own Maxine Raymond and Agnes Weathers of Boston, Ma.;
Louise never had sisters but these special women were truly sisters and good friends; Just to name a few. Ms. Neritha Fulton, Ms. Dorothy June, Ms. Ardell Mcfadden, Ms. Luester McCullough, Ms. Bertha Pressley, Ms. Whilamenia Moultrie, Ms. Rosa Poinsett. And a host of other family members and friends.
