Obituary

Mary Scott , a daughter of the late Lee Scott and late Alice Bass, was born April 13, 1930 in Williamsburg County, Kingstree, SC.

Mary was educated in the public school system of Williamsburg County. She was employee of the Williamsburg County School System.

In Mary early years she attended Union Baptist Church, Where she received and confessed Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, sanctified, filled with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. She later became a member of North Kingstree Baptist Church. Where she was the founder of the Usher Ministry, Bible Study, and Prayer Service. Sis. Mary served as treasure of the Sunday School Department and supporter of the Singing Convention. She was a faithful Missionary to the Church and Community. She served faithfully as a loyal Usher until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Alice Cooper and Son in-law the late Samuel Frank Cooper.

Those left to cherish her memories are two children; Rev. Leroy Scott (Jeannette Fenney), a surrogate daughter Shirley Fenney. Along with three grandchildren; Kath Kim, Dr. Leroy Scott, Jr., and Tonya Lannette Scott; one brother, James Scott of Baltimore, MD., one sister Victor Scott of Kingstree, SC; additional grandchildren Kenneth Scott, Joyce Scott and Stefanie Denson a surrogate granddaughter; Larry, Leroy, Samuel, Mike, Teresa, and the late Sheila, Gary L. Cooper. Also eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren along with a host of other family members.
