Mrs. Percilla
Wilson
Jun 20, 1968 — Sep 6, 2026
Life Reflections
Percilla Elaine Scott Wilson was born June 20, 1968, to the late Billy and Pastor Gwendolyn Scott in Kingstree, SC. On Sunday, September 6, 2026, she was called home and entered eternal rest peacefully at her home. Percilla was blessed with a keen intellect and a natural love for learning. Through her dedication and academic excellence, she completed her high school education one year ahead of schedule, proudly graduating from Kingstree Senior High School in 1985. After graduation, she attended Francis Marion University with a major in Business. She began working for the Health Department where she worked awhile before she ventured out and opened her own business as a Daycare Director and managed that job for over 35 years.
She was a member of Kingstree Apostolic Faith Church in the Holywoods Community. There she served as the Primary Class Sunday School Teacher, choir member, a Deaconess and head musician. She also served as the Apostolic Faith International Youth Conference Treasurer. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, singing, traveling, leisurely boat rides with a good crossword puzzle, rocking on her front porch, trying new restaurants and hosting family gatherings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 38 wonderful years, Luther Wilson of Florence, SC; her three daughters: LaXavier (Thomas) Pressley of Helena, AL, DrewCilla Wilson of Seattle, WA and Alexus Wilson of Effingham, SC. Five sisters: Pastor Shawonder Sabb of Kingstree, SC, Jeronda Scott of Florence, SC, Marico (Ray) Benbow of Conway, SC, Karen (Kenneth) McCrea of Kingstree, SC and Vincinal Scott of Florence, SC. Two brothers: Pastor Billy (Tammy) Scott Jr of Kingstree, SC and Bishop Kevin Scott of Atlanta, GA. Two sisters-in-love: Betty Cunningham and Emma Guest both of Kingstree, SC and One brother-in-love Willie (Leola) Wilson of Kingstree, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and a plethora of children whom she cared for while serving as a Childcare Provider.
