Obituary

Mr. Norman Mitchum , affectionately called "Lieutenant", was born in Williamsburg County on May 7, 1952 to the late Frank & Emma Perkins Mitchum. Norman received his formal education and graduated from Tomlinson High School in 1971 and later enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for over two years. He received an honorable discharge, along with a National Defense Service Medal. Lieutenant also worked as a painter, throughout Williamsburg County.

Norman entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2017 at Williamsburg Regional Hospital, Kingstree, S.C. after a short illness. He was preceded in death by one sister: Lillie Ann Burgess.

Loved ones to treasure his memory until the end of time: his daughters: Aleia Toria White and Linette Lillie(Joey) Sanders both of Blakely, SC; six grandchildren: Anthony, Victoria, Ashley, Ciara, Vanessa & Joey all of Blakely, SC. Four brothers: Frank (Margaree) Mitchum, Leon(Clemo) Mitchum, Truman Mitchum and Leroy Mitchum, all of Kingstree, SC; four sisters Neritha Fulton of Kingstree S.C., Lillie Ruth Graham of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; Mary Lee Robinson of Andrews, SC and Evangelist Carnell Bradley of Newark, N.J.; Aunts: Geraldine Scott of Kingstree, S.C. and Esther Hanna of Durham, N.C., Special friend: Elga Moldrow of Kingstree, S.C. Special nephew: Timothy Fulton; Special niece: Karen Scott, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
