Pauline P. Holback daughter of the late Isaac and Lydia (Gadsden) Perkins, was born May 10, 1921 in Russellville, SC. Pauline was called from her employ Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her home in Pineville, South Carolina. Pauline received her education in the Berkeley County School System. At an early age she became q member of Redeemer R.E. Church, Pineville, SC. There she accepted the Lord as her Savior Pauline later located to Jacksonville, Florida; There she met her husband Isaac Holback. They were united in Holy Matrimony May 18, 1946. This union brought forth four children; Lillie Rose, Mary, Martha and Dannie. Pauline became a member of St. Stephen A.M.E. Church and continued her growth in Christian warfare. There she served faithfully as a secretary of the Sunday School Missionary Department. Pauline was employed as a cook at Forest Park Elementary School, and a few others. Pauline later relocated to South Carolina and renewed her membership with Redeemer R.E. Church and maintained her loyal duties as a missionary. Later she became a member of Garden of Prayer Church of Our Lord Jesus. There she continued her steadfast walk with Christ. November 2, 2013 was her last day at church service. She leaves to cherish her memories; four children, Lillie Mae Brown and Martha Holback both of Los Angeles, California, Mary (Charles) Johnson of Humble, Texas and Dannie (Eugenia) Holback of Pineville, SC; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren ; 2 sisters-in-law Annie Perkins of St. Stephen,SC and Ruth Perkins of Huntsville, Alabama; 1 step brother 1 step sister, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; a special Godchild St. Julian Perkins of Brooklyn, NY.
