Walter Morris was born on August 21, 1958 to the Late Benjamin F. Morris and Virginia Nesmith Morris in Williamsburg County, Nesmith South Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers: Baby Joseph, Benjamin Jr., Sam, Brinceson, and Jerry. And one sister Mary Lee Boards.
On Saturday morning March 27, 2021 God dispatched one of his angels to quietly claim one of his precious gifts.
At an early age Walter joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Kingstree, South Carolina. Walter received his education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. Walter enjoyed life to the fullest and all that it had to offer. Walter was a farmer, fisherman and was employed as a janitor. He enjoyed spending times on the outdoors and he especially loved working in the flower garden with his sister. To know Walter is to love him and through his many deeds and kindness Walter met no stranger. He loved his family and his family loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memories are: Four brothers: Oliver (Vivian) Morris; Rev John Lee (Pearl) Morris and Eugene (Sandra) Morris all of Durham, North Carolina; Gerome (Pastor Paula) Morris of Lake City, SC: Three sisters: Alice (Samuel) Johnson, Yvonne Nelson of Kingstree, SC and Essie (Freddie) Brockington, of Butner, North Carolina; Four aunts: Rosa Dansby, Kingstree, Effie Nesmith, Fla; Joann (Clifton) Johnson, Philia, and Mattie Nesmith of Columbia; Two additional sister in laws Corrine Morris and Adrian Morris. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
