Mr. William James Strong was the son of the late Clarence Strong and Elease Washington Strong. He departed this earthly life Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Carolina Hospital Systems, Florence, SC. "Buster" as he was affectionately called, was born in Kingstree, SC, November 20, 1930. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. William James Strong was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Louise Scott.

His lifelong accomplishments included; employment at Georgia Pacific for a period of 28 years. "Buster" worked and retired from Williamsburg County Waste Management. He was one of the best auto mechanic.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife of the home Louise Strong; six sons, Jimmie (Linda) Strong, Raymond (Carrie) Pressley, Glenn Strong, and Earl (Lucille) Ballard all of Kingstree, SC, James (Kim) Strong of Fayetteville, NC, and Theotis (Marsha) Pressley of Ft. Lauderdale , FL.; four daughter; Willie Mae Brewington and Yolonda Bradley both of Kingstree, SC, Ella Fore of Florence, SC, and Jacqueline (Sheldon) Tucker of Rochester, NY; one sister; Soundra (Freddie) Strong-Cooper of Rochester, NY; two sisters in-law, Florence Strong and Jaunita Strong; 29 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
